Description
Never Stale...Always Fresh and Sweet. Toast and Jam is the antidote to the cheesy wedding DJ.
YOUR WEDDING, YOUR WAY, NO GIMMICKS.
Toast & Jam DJs specialize in making people dance by working closely with our clients to create customized playlists that reflect their tastes. We reject line dances, props and other gimmicks in favor of perfectly planned and well-timed soundtracks that appeal to every partygoer. That means no Hokey Pokey and no Chicken Dance. At Toast & Jam, we believe that a thoughtful mix of pop favorites, hip-hop bootyshakers, Motown classics and timeless standards are a fun and self-respecting alternative to those embarrassing and played-out dancefloor clichés.
WE ARE PROS, PEOPLE!
Our DJs are super-talented and totally music-obsessed, but we aren't music snobs. We understand that it’s your wedding, and it’s all about what you want. We aren’t club DJs who took a wedding “for the money.” We love weddings and are honored to be a part of the big day. We work closely with your other vendors to make sure that the event goes off perfectly.
I highly recommend Toast & Jam for a wedding or really any event that needs some music!
My husband and I got married on Nov 1st at Cog Hill Golf in Lemont, IL and we hired T&J with DJ Dustin for our night. The communication was easy and we had two meetings with him before the event. One was an initial meeting to see if we were a good fit, and then another meeting within a few weeks of the wedding to discuss the set up of the evening and our desires (no garter toss, no bridal party introductions, what type of music we wanted, etc).
It was truly seamless, Dustin was there plenty early, was all set up and then when it was his time to jump in and start the music for our cocktail hour, everything was on point! We wanted some classic Frank Sinatra-esque music for the cocktail hour/dinner part of the reception. His assistance with the speeches was great.
For the dancing, he didn't play anything I didnt ask for, and the dance floor was busy all night. I had said cha cha slide would be fun but it ended up being so long, I wish that had been cut off, but since it was something I said OK to ahead of time, maybe that's why the whole thing was played. My Dad made a few too many requests which I didn't even realize and would have put the kabosh on, but hey, he footed a lot of the bills, so go for it Pops. My husband and I wish we had divulged a little bit more of our preferences because Dustin realized our friends loved 90's hip hop at the last little bit of the night and a bit more of that would have been fun, but we also were catering to the older guests too.
Those are all super minor things and I mention them here so when you are guiding the pre-wedding discussions, maybe include a bit more! we definitely just put it all in his hands and had a fabulous time, different ways to do it for sure. Loved them!-Karolyn J
